CURRENT TREATMENT FOCUS
As a mental health therapist, my focus is on creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. I believe that every individual has unique strengths and the capacity for growth, and I’m here to help you tap into those resources. Using evidence-based techniques tailored to your specific needs, I’ll guide you in overcoming challenges, gaining clarity, and building the skills to navigate life’s complexities. Together, we’ll work toward achieving your goals, whether it’s reducing anxiety, improving relationships, processing past traumas, or fostering self-confidence. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and rooted in empathy. I’m committed to helping you create meaningful change and develop the tools to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. Let’s take this journey toward healing and growth together.
TREATMENT APPROACH AND MODALITIES
Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, I work with individuals to create a safe and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as:
Humanistic therapy - emphasizing personal growth, self-awareness, and achieving one’s full potential. Therapy focuses on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - helping clients to understand and change negative thought patterns and behaviors by focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Mindfulness - practice of being fully present and aware of the moment without judgment, helping individuals focus on their thoughts, feelings, and surroundings with clarity and calm, promoting relaxation and emotional balance.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - helping individuals to manage intense emotions, improve relationships by combining mindfulness with strategies for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication.
Psychodynamic Therapy - assisting individuals who are seeking to better understand how unconscious thoughts, past experiences, and relationships shape their current behaviors and emotions. It aims to increase self-awareness and resolve deep-rooted emotional conflicts.
Solution-Focused Therapy - a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes identifying strengths and finding practical solutions to current challenges, focusing on what works rather than exploring problems in depth.
OUTSIDE OF SESSION
Outside of our sessions, I enjoy- hiking, spending time in nature, camping, volunteering, spending time with family and friends, horticulture, sports, reading, listening to music, and learning new things.
