JAMILYN SCOTT, LMSW
EXPERIENCE
I am an Air Force veteran, now social worker, committed to serving and providing care to clients of all backgrounds. Prior to joining the team at WLCC, I worked in the community providing crisis support as well as in addictions counseling, case management, care coordination, and group therapy.
CURRENT TREATMENT FOCUS
Throughout my years in practice, I have learned that everything is about balance and looks different for each person. I aspire to ensure each client feels heard, supported and validated in a variety of areas ranging from daily stressors, coping strategies for mental illness, familial concerns, grief, and everything in between. While seeking therapy can be a scary decision, my goal is to help and support along the way to achieve the goals you’ve created.
TREATMENT APPROACH AND MODALITIES
I work from a strengths-based, person-centered approach, looking at the whole person. I utilize treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution focused.
OUTSIDE OF SESSION
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew, my family and my two dogs, Remi and Roxy. I enjoy spending time outside, watching sports-baseball and football. The fall time is my favorite time of the year and all things pumpkin!
