KELLEY PORTER, LCPC

EXPERIENCE

My experience includes working with both adolescents, and adults of a range of diagnosis. I interned through Union Memorials Counseling Center while in graduate school, where I was able to co-lead multiple weekly group sessions and help with case management for clients. I worked for Kennedy Krieger for a short period of time, working in the inpatient unit for children. Following graduation, and receiving my license I worked at an outpatient mental health facility, where I was a member of the adult team for over 2 years providing individual therapy for adults, ages 18-70 years old, while working closely with a treatment team geared specifically with each client.

CURRENT TREATMENT FOCUS

From my experience working in both outpatient settings, and private practice settings, I have been able to work with numerous individuals with multiple mental health diagnoses. Through these experiences, I have found my passion working with adolescents, and adults. I meet each client where they are, and will help create goals based on their needs, while offering my ideas and support. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD, relationship stressors, self esteem, and general mindfulness techniques.

TREATMENT APPROACH AND MODALITIES

The treatment modality I use is dependent upon what the client needs and wants, and I pull from a variety of methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, solution-formation, and mindfulness.

OUTSIDE OF SESSION
