RACHEL WILLS, LCPC

EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience working with teenagers, families, and couples in various settings, where I’ve provided support through therapy, counseling, and crisis intervention. My work has involved helping adolescents navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues, while also guiding families in improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing overall dynamics. Additionally, I have supported couples through relationship difficulties, focusing on building healthy connections, improving emotional intimacy, and addressing patterns of conflict. Throughout my career, I have employed a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family, fostering resilience and promoting positive mental health outcomes.

CURRENT TREATMENT FOCUS

My current clinical focus centers on many of those same issues, but primarily with individual adults that need support with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, as well as many other every day stressors where I use a person-centered, evidence-based approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care to help individuals manage symptoms, build coping skills, and foster emotional resilience. By creating a safe and empathetic space, I work collaboratively with clients to explore the root causes of their struggles, develop healthier thought patterns, and enhance their overall well-being. My goal is to empower clients to take an active role in their mental health journey, facilitating long-term healing and personal growth.

TREATMENT APPROACH AND MODALITIES

I have a holistic approach that incorporates pieces of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have a keen understanding that no two people are alike, so there are times that I may glean from another style or modality in an effort to help assist people with meeting their goals.

OUTSIDE OF SESSION

I’m a big fan of all things entertainment – whether it’s catching live shows, binge-watching movies, getting lost in a good book, diving into insightful podcasts, or soaking up the latest documentaries. If it’s engaging and full of stories, I’m all in, so feel free to send recommendations my way! Oh, and.... #RavensFlock
